About Webooro

Free, private, browser-based tools — no account required.

What Is Webooro?

Webooro is a free, browser-based toolkit for everyday digital tasks — image processing, text utilities, PDF conversion, personality quizzes, and casual web games. No installation. No account. Just open the page and use it.

The idea started from a specific frustration. One afternoon, I needed to do three things: resize a product photo for an online listing, count the characters in a description to stay under the platform limit, and quickly format a JSON response I'd copied from a browser console. That ended up requiring three different websites — each with its own banner ads, cookie consent popups, and "sign up to download your file" gates.

I remember thinking: these are all simple operations. Why is this so annoying? So I built a page that did all three, added a few more tools I kept needing, and eventually it turned into Webooro.

Every tool runs entirely inside your browser. Images and text are never uploaded to a server — not because I'm making a legal claim, but because there's genuinely no upload happening. The code runs locally in your browser window.

Our Principles

  • 1

    Privacy first

All image and text processing happens in your browser. No files are ever uploaded to our servers. We do not store your data.

  • 2

    No account, ever

Every single tool works immediately. No sign-up, no email, no paywall. Just open the page and use it.

  • 3

    Free forever

Core tools will always remain free. We keep the lights on through non-intrusive ads (Google AdSense). No premium tiers, no hidden fees.

  • 4

    Fast and lightweight

We keep dependencies minimal. Pages load quickly, and tools respond instantly — because slow software is frustrating software.

What We Offer

Image Tools

Convert between PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, SVG, and ICO formats. Remove image backgrounds or people from photos using AI. Crop, rotate, resize, and compress images — all without uploading anything to a server.

Popular Utilities

Count characters, words, and bytes in real-time. Format and validate JSON. Convert PDFs to images and images to PDFs. Look up your IP address or any IP's location. Calculate VAT from a total or a net amount.

Quizzes & Tests

Explore your personality with our MBTI test, discover your instinct patterns with the Intuitive Choice test, or check for color vision deficiencies with our color blindness test — all completely private and score-calculated in-browser.

Web Games

Take a quick break with browser-native classics: Tetris, 2048, Tic-Tac-Toe, Snake, Memory Card, and Reaction Time. No Flash, no plugins, no ads-between-levels popups.

Language Support

Webooro is available in both Korean (한국어) and English. The site automatically detects your region and serves the appropriate language. You can always switch languages using the toggle at the top of any page.

All tool descriptions, guides, FAQs, and interface text are written natively in both languages — not machine-translated.

Behind the Site

One thing that surprised me while running Webooro: people use these tools in ways I didn't expect. The background remover was built with portrait photos in mind — but the majority of people using it turned out to be processing product photos for online shops and editing thumbnails for YouTube. I didn't see that coming.

The character counter was another one. I almost didn't build it, thinking it was too simple to be useful. Turns out it's one of the most-opened tools on the site — people keep it in a tab while writing Instagram captions, job applications, or text message drafts.

I read every bug report and feature request that comes in. Several tools have been meaningfully improved because someone took 30 seconds to send a message. That feedback loop is something I care about keeping.

What's Coming

A few tools are currently in planning: an image watermark tool, a QR code generator, and a URL shortener. I'm working through these in order of request volume and implementation complexity.

If you have an idea, the best way to get it built is to send a request. Multiple people asking for the same thing genuinely moves it up the queue.

Who Runs This?

Webooro is an independent project run by a small development team based in South Korea. We're not affiliated with any large corporation — we build and maintain all the tools ourselves.

Have a suggestion, found a bug, or want to request a new tool? We read every message and reply personally.
